Shelf labels for convenience stores

A c-store shelf carries hundreds of low-value SKUs whose prices move constantly, and increasingly two prices per item where card fees are passed through.

What belongs on a convenience store shelf tag

Cash price and card priceDual pricing is the single most common request from c-stores, and getting it wrong on the shelf is a compliance problem, not a design one.
PriceLarge enough to read from the aisle.
Unit pricePer-ounce or per-count comparison, required by law in several states on some categories.
Multi-buy offer2 for $3 does more volume than any single-item price change.
UPC barcodeShelf audits and reorder scanning.

Dual pricing has to be computed, not typed

Stores passing card fees through need both numbers on every tag, and typing the second one by hand across hundreds of SKUs is where the errors come from. The card price should be derived from the cash price by a single percentage you set once, so a price change updates both halves of the tag together.

What to print on

Small shelf-edge sizes dominate: 1" x 2-5/8" sheets for the main run, and a thermal roll for the cooler doors and the items that change weekly.

How it works

  1. Import your products from a spreadsheet, a POS export, or a photo of a price list.
  2. Pick one of the designs above, or build your own.
  3. Choose the stock you have — Avery sheets, Dymo, Zebra, Brother, or plain paper.
  4. Export the PDF and print it at actual size.
